Today I want to show you another way I have used the label page that is in the Happy Haunnting Printable Project Kit. Anyone that has followed the blog knows that I love jewelry. I like making small baubles that the kids can wear to school on holidays and they love giving them away to teachers and friends. So I usually end up making lots! When I saw these "facets" from the Tim Holtz Idea-ology line I knew I wanted to use them for one of my jewelry projects.
I also found these awesome spectacle charms as I like to call them at Hobby Lobby. The tops screw off and all you have to do is insert patterned paper or a printable between the glass panes and you are done. It does not get much easier than that!
To create these I printed my label sheet on both an epson premium presentation paper as well as an avery label sheet for other projects I wanted to create.
And here is what I came up with:
For these spectacle charms I mixed in some of the HOF3 Phantom Papers and stickers. The collage patterned paper is perfect for this and you can get a ton of cool images to place inside the glass panes. I also used a few of the labels from the happy haunting kit which were printed on the epson paper. I literally created these five charms in about 15 minutes. How fun would it be to print images on a transparency and use them between the glass as well?
The facets have some really fun shapes and are beveled which give them a cool finishing touch. Here are the simple steps to create these charms:
- Print out your Happy Haunting Label sheet onto the medium of your choice.
- Choose the label design you wish to use. Adhere charm in place directly to the sheet.
- For the facet charms I adhered using glossy accents holding it in place for 20 seconds to make sure it adheres well. Set aside to dry.
- Once dry (I left mine for about 45 minutes) Trim around charm shape, attach jump ring and you are ready to go!
One tip....for the large skull charm below I goofed and adhered it to the avery label sheet that I had printed off instead of the epson printable paper which I had planned on using. When I realized what I had done I was just going to peel off the backing and adhere some patterned paper to finish it off but when I went to peel away the backing the entire label peeled off (Labels don't like to get wet!) leaving almost a "transparent transfer" if you will of the image. And you know what? I really liked it! It has an almost ethereal look which is hard to see in this picture but it was a happy accident...so don't be afraid to try different mediums, you might like what you come up with!
Supply list for making all of these charms: Facets, Pink Paislee/HOF3 Phantom Papers and Sticker, Spectacle Charms (Hobby Lobby, Jewelry Shoppe brand), glossy accents, idea-ology chain, avery labels, epson paper

There is no other holiday like Halloween. We celebrate it here almost all year. We are in love with all things Halloween. We set up in September...we've already purchased our first Halloween goodie today on Labor Day. There is no end to what I could make with the kit and such. Baubles, charms, bracelets, potion bottles. My 14 year old has announced that she will be throwing a Halloween party since she won't be trick or treating, these charms will be a fantastic take home gift! Got to have them!

Awesome projects Janet! I've bought some of the bottles and am planning to use them for a shadow box about my 5 year old's love of rocks and dirt. I'm now thinking I may need to save some for a few Halloween potions :)

These charms are really cool. I plan to make 12 different ones and turn them into wine glass charms for our October-Bunko that I am hosting at my house. I love all things Halloween. They'll make great trinkets for each to use that night then take home as a party favor. Can't wait to get started on this project! Thanks!!!!
