is right around the corner for us so I wanted each child to have something to give their teacher to help introduce themselves and stand out from the crowd a little....before they do other things that might not be so good to make themselves stand out! ;) Poor Jake, I think I am destined to know the principal really well this year! :)
So I made three cards that could be from a girl, boy or even your older children.
This is the card that Jake picked:
Just added a little seam binding ribbon to the front and it was good to go! On the inside I had him write his name:
This is the card that McKinley chose to use, love the quote on this one. Added three small rhinestones to the center of the flowers to finish it off..just a little sparkle as my daughter likes to say.
And then this is the card that my niece chose for her three teachers (she is going into the 5th grade):
Each has a place for the child to sign their name and I think it will be a cute ice breaker for them to interact with the teacher since it can be awkward meeting them for the first time. Jake is so shy he has already asked if he has to actually say anything to the teacher besides his name. He also asked if he can take her some flowers so we will attach his card to a small bouquet for her to put on her desk to enjoy the first day of school.
If you are interested in making your own you can purchase the set here:
as always I love your work. I'm sure your Jake will do fine- kids are always better for others than for mom and dad.

I love these! It's the first time I am wishing my kids were small enough to do this...I'll see if I can talk my college kid (Aaron) into it ;-)
You are a clever one Mrs. J
