so after I really got started playing with the centerpieces yesterday and know what I am doing for the tables I moved on to another project. I decided a fun one page printable that I could mass produce and make for family and friends as a surprise was a fun idea. I made 12 of these today and each one is different. Unfortunately I only had time to take a photo of one before I had to dash off and deliver them....but you get the idea.
Supplies used on the above frame: Freedom Banner Kit, Freedom 8x10 Printable, Ikea Frame, Bazzill Pearls, Twine, Tiny Attacher
Some of the supplies I used on the other 11 frames: Flowers, dark denim glimmer mist, stickles, wood stars, glitter, crackle accents, seam binding ribbon and these stamps.
Here are the basic steps:
I went and purchased my wood frames at Ikea right when they opened this morning, took out the glass and spray painted them red or navy blue. (It is so blazing hot here in Texas that they dried almost immediately outside) I then printed 12 of the 8x10 printable, adhered them to the mats and inserted them into the frames. I left the glass out of all of mine since I planned on adding embellishments on top of the printable.
Now is when I was able to be creative with each one, some had banners attached, some had glimmer mist and flowers, stickles, seam binding ribbon...each one was a little bit different! Total project time for all 12 frames was about 2.5 hours. It was so much fun to see their faces when I showed up on their doorstep with a little holiday fun. One of my girlfriends wasn't home, I knew she would be at work, so I hung it on the nail on her front door. It was so cute I had to take a photo. She was so excited...I got a pretty animated phone call from her when she got home and noticed what I had left.
I think I am going to go and get those hooks that don't harm your door and are removable and hang one on my door as well since it was so cute.
I think this would be a cool neighbor gift just like the BOO! gifts our neighborhood does at Halloween. So I am making it available here for you to be able to share as well!
