I am so glad you could join me! I have never participated in a blog hop so this is a first for me. If you are one of my readers and are wondering what is going on....I believe all of the fun starts here and that there are a ton of talented ladies that are sharing some of the creations they have made today with their Silhouette. I believe you just left the uber talented Jennifer McGuire's blog and now for a little peek at my project!
When Kerri asked me to participate I was excited and knew exactly what I wanted to work on. I have my daughter's birthday and a friends baby shower all coming up at my house, so I needed to do a dry run of what I have planned for the table settings really all I wanted to do was buy cupcakes, photograph them and then eat them and I needed a reason....so here is what I came up with:
I think my favorite part about using my silhouette is that I can use all of my House of 3 backgrounds to get a different look every time. I can change them out for whatever theme I am working on and I can do it all from the comfort of my own home. At first when looking at these little favor boxes I was a little intimidated but after folding the first one I was hooked. They are super easy and so much fun when you mix and match the patterned paper. I love that this one can be filled with candy or can be used as a cupcake stand like I have done with it here. Then the tall favor box will be filled with a blank note card for each guest to write a note to the honoree and then there will be a basket on the table for them to leave their notes. I embellished the front of the boxes with two small tags that I cut on my silhouette and then typed the initial on the tag and tied with a bit of twine and a vintage ticket. I love the vibe of these!
The cupcake picks were two butterflys that I cut out after I printed on both sides of the paper and then hot glued to a toothpick. I then attached a vintage button to the center for a little added dimension. Super fast and super easy...just the way I like all of my projects.
**Right now Silhouette is running a special on their images for National Scrapbook Day so if there are any that you see today while perusing the projects you should hurry over and snap them up before the sale is over!**
House of 3 images has a ton of images (158 to be exact!) that are available in the Silhouette store so check them out. We also have some pretty sweet deals on the machine here.

The idea of using printed paper is perfect - I can print on my favorite cardstock, and get it just the way I want. Awesome idea, thanks for sharing.
